2013 Hula Valley Festival

About the Festival

The Hula Valley Bird Festival is an initiative of the Israel Ornithological Center (Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel). The festival goal is to highlight the fantastic bird watching sites and opportunities Northern Israel in general and the Hula Valley in particular have to offer.

The Festival tours are led by the best birders and tour leaders in the country, each with an intimate knowledge of the area and birds. During the festival week visitors will enjoy an elaborate Birdwatching program that incorporates the best sites in the area as well as the famous Mobile Hide tours, Ringing demonstrations and much more. The festival is based at the excellent Pastoral Hotel in Kfar Blum at the heart of the Hula Valley and all festival packages are on a half board basis.   

The Festival will open with an opening event featuring several speakers, a film about the Hula and more. Every evening of the week a feature presentation will take place at the hotel conference lounge.

Finally, we thank you for choosing the festival. We are sure you will enjoy the week and gather memories (and birds) that you will take with you for a long time. We would like to remind you that the Israel Ornithological Center is a nonprofit organization and as such, all profits from the festival go directly to conservation. The success of the Hula Valley Bird Festival and other similar events translate into valuable funds for research and conservation of birds in Israel.
